Summer Printables

Hello Bloggy Friends, its been awhile. Summer sure is jam packed with fun and goodness, and I sure hope you enjoy these pintables today.

I had a request to make some pintables for a cute friend who is taking some Young Women where she lives in her home state of  Wisconsin to Girls Camp with our church. She will be using these  for some of the devotionals and talks she will be giving the Young Women while they are at camp.

Since I love summer and Girls Camp so much, I thought I would post them for you all to use as well.

The pintables are for followers of the blog only, it only takes a minute over at the side bar. (They are for personal use only, not for resale of any kind)

The link to save them is below the picture. Save them as you would any photo then you can print them at any photo center. They print best as a 4x6 photo size

Relief Society Birthday Party

Wowzers, I love Relief Society! Relief Society is a womens organization in our church. You can learn more about what we believe here and here.

This March when we celebrated our Relief Society Birthday and did it Minute to Win It Style. Our idea started from this. Our theme was how Relief Society helps us find Joy in Every Minute. We played 3 minute to win it games (Caddy Shack, Cookie to the Face, and By a thread) then had two ladies share a short testimony of how Relief Society helped them, followed by a short talk on Joy. Not to mention a massive amount of desserts! Ohhh... the desserts were fabulous! What's a birthday without treats! It was such a fun night.

We also did a early bird raffle for those ladies that arrived on time. You can find the printable I made below. We used that for our gift. We framed it and wrapped it up for our winner. Here are some picture of what we did to decorate.

I so wish I had pictures of all the fun as it was happening, but its so hard to remember that when your right in the thick of having fun. However here are a few things we did to decorate...

Here is the food table prior to all the most amazing treats arriving

After signing in as a follower over on the side bar, (it only takes a minute)- you can download that printable here  Thanks!
I made the printable based on the 2008 talk given by President Monson titled Finding Joy in Every Moment.

Sorry for the glare, I took the picture from my phone. This is what our early bird raffle winner got.

Here is the poster we made to help advertise. We also made cupcakes with a topper that included the date and time for our invitations. The cupcake idea was from here

I so wish I had a picture of these, but at each of our monthly activities we have a small table set up with one simple Emergency Preparedness idea and a family home evening packet for them to take home, that is based on the nights theme.

Happy Thanksgiving

I found this fun idea here on Pinterest for a holiday center piece and just fell in love. I knew I had to make one. My hubby cut the box for me. Then I got to have some fun and decorate it!

I loved the look of the deep box from the outside, but knew I wanted it more shallow inside to help me when I embellish it for holidays. So we made the inside like this...

The one on the left has a shelf in it to help when I decorate it and the right side is with the shelf taken out in case I have thicker elements to add in there. A girls gotta have choices right!

Here's our finished product! So love it!!

Coaches Thank You Gift

It's so hard to think the soccer season is coming to an end except for the stark reality on those early morning games when we are freezing! My son has two great coaches we wanted to thank for all their hard work and such a fun season. I found these 2 litter water bottles at Walmart for two dollars. That's right, 2 dollars. I couldn't believe it either. Then I added their names to it with a little outdoor vinyl for durability. I also put some York Peppermint Patty's in a cello bag, and made a fun printable to go with it. Hope this free printable helps you thank those great coaches or team moms!

The printable is free to our followers, it only takes a minute over on the side. For our followers the link is here.

Child Size Coat Rack

Our son is started preschool this year, ooh how I wish I could freeze him at this age! I am doing a
coop with 5 other moms where we each take a week teaching the preschool lesson. Its more like home school preschool.  Its so much fun, and he is loving it.  The week I teach I knew we would need a place for the kids to put their little book bags and shoes, so we made a fun coat rack preschool sized.

I found a few ideas on Pinterest, but none of them were exactly what I was looking for. We  ended up just merging the best parts of them to come up with what we needed. Here is the tutorial in pictures.

After lots of sanding, primer, paint, hooks, and grip tape we fell in love with our finished preschool sized coat rack. I am happy to say the kiddos love it, it helps keep things organized while I teach preschool. It measures a little over 4 feet in height. It fits 6 little book bags and shoes great, and the kids can reach it all themselves!  We love it !

Thanks for Visiting and Happy Building!

Chalkboard Vinyl

Howdy bloggy friends! Here's a new project using some fun chalkboard vinyl. I made a quote board for our upstairs loft area. Every six months our church has General Conference where our Prophet and leaders give us some pretty uplifting messages. We are able to view it on TV. You can read more about that here. Anyway, as time approaches  I am  getting soo excited that its only a few short weeks away! I really wanted something in our home to remember some of those amazing conference nuggets from some of our favorite talks. So I decided to put up some chalkboard vinyl and post quotes from conference to tide us over until the following conference. I so badly want those words spoken to soak up in our kids hearts and to remind them of our leaders council.
Happy Crafting!

Back to School Time Already

Hello friends, its been awhile since I posted. Somehow the summer has slipped right through my fingers and its almost over. I can hardly believe it! Ohh the fun of the summer months.

We go back to school in 3 short weeks. Before the start of school we have a fun little meet your teacher and drop off all your school supplies day. I made these for the kids to give to their teacher when they first meet. I made the candy bar envelope with my silhouette, but you don't need one to make it, you can always cut the card stock by hand. Hope you and your kiddos have a great first day back to school.

Thanks for visiting! Once school starts and those kiddos are back in school, I have two fun projects to post until then, enjoy your summer!!

End of the Year Teacher Thank You

I know for some school has already ended, we still have a few more weeks till we can enjoy a schedule free life! I can hardly wait!! This year I really wanted to do something meaningful for our teachers to thank them for such a great year! This kids wrote their teachers a letter of thanks, and I wrote a letter to the Principal about how AMAZING the teachers were. Its my hope they will put that letter in the teachers professional files. I also made a copy of that letter to give the teacher as well. Its always nice to hear the compliments said about you, right? Plus, who doesn't like for the boss to know your doing a pretty spectacular job!  I sure hope they will love it, we are so grateful for all they have done! As I was writing the letters my eyes were getting a little teary just thinking about how much they have helped my kids grow the last nine months.

I used my Silhouette and made a purse to send everything to school.  An envelope just didn't seem as fun. You don't need a silhouette to make a purse, there is a great tutorial on You Tube here, that spells it all our for you. Thanks for visiting and happy summer to you!

Teacher Appriciation gifts...

I can not believe Teacher Appreciation week is in 3 days! Ekk!! It totally snuck up on us this year. At our kids school the first two days of T.A. week is linked to a color. Monday they bring in something red. I knew we were not doing apples-they will get plenty of those. We came up with this red Bath and Body Works Strawberry foaming soap for them to take in. (Bath and body works is having a humungo sale on them right now, so if your behind the 8 ball this year like I am your in luck)! I also included the free printable for our followers to use as well. You can download that here.

Tuesday is Yellow Day so we are giving them this....I wish I could have found a yellow drink container but the yellow bow will have to do! Hope they can enjoy it, we found the drink containers at Walmart. We filled them with little individual Lemon Aid packets.

Here is a link of the label I made for the drink container. The free to download for our followers is  here.
To follow it only takes a minute on the side bar.

The other days this week are... bring in your teachers favorite flower, wear their favorite color, and write them a note.  I better get off the computer and round up our kids to get crack'n on there teachers letter of thanks!

Happy Blogging, and thanks for stopping by!

The labels were made with the "Back 2 School kit" and the "Sweet Treats Kit" from Just So Scrappy.
